This week’s Carnival of Personal Finance was hosted by Ask Mr Credit Card. After last week’s debacle, I thought I’d take over submitting duties. The carnival included our article, A Visual Guide to Finding HUD Home Foreclosures, with a comment about “audience laughter” that made me wonder whether they were laughing with us or at us.
Here’s a list of some of the other submissions that we enjoyed. Unless otherwise noted, we are laughing with you.
BripBlap examines the stellar technorati ranking of Benjamin Franklin, The Original Personal Finance Blogger and attributes his success to Franklin’s seminal post: “Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”
Kay Bell @ Don’t Mess With Taxes sobers us up a bit with a reminder about making sure the bank is sending those escrow payments along to the tax man rather than blowing it all on lottery tickets and malt liquor–well, sort of–in Property Tax Problems for Customers
Pinyo @ Moolanomy reminds us why the First Million is the Hardest –it’s all about time, baby. Although Rob and I are going to see what we can do here at TWA to bump up that assumed growth rate.
Jason @ The Amatureist Financial Journey points out that frugality alone won’t get you there in his post Is Pinching Pennies Really the Road to Wealth?
Strange Interview Questions @ Free Money Finance includes some entertaining interview questions, stories, and comments to boot.
In Uncovering the Truth about Needs and Wants, Millionaire Mommy provides a good way to differentiate between the two. In addition, out of thousands of entrants, she also wins this week’s TWA award for best use of the phrase “horny rabbits” in a blog post. (Feel free to submit your links for next week’s drawing on our “Contact Us” page or at AOL keyword “bunny-love”)

Mike, you idiot. I’ve just spent 2 hours on AOL, and there is no keyword called “bunny-love.”
Mike, thanks for sharing my post with your readers. You are laughing with me,right?
Hah! Thanks for the horny rabbits mention!
Mike, muchas gracias for the mention and the laughing along!
Thanks for the link – I’m always proud to be mentioned in the same list as rabbits. Who are horny. And beer and malt liquor. Wait, maybe I’m not that proud after all.
Thanks for posting my article! I’m glad you liked it.
